This lot is seven Beckhoff KL3002 Bus Terminals, each a 2-channel analog input module for -10 to +10 V signals with differential inputs and 12-bit resolution. The KL3002 sits in a Beckhoff Bus Terminal row on a 35 mm DIN rail, gets its power over the K-bus and passes the digitized values, electrically isolated, to the Bus Coupler. Side label: KL3002-0000, "2 x Analog Input, Differential +/-10V, min. 200 KOhm", Made in Germany. Condition: used.
How is the KL3002 wired?
Per the side print, terminal points 1 and 5 are +Input1 and +Input2, 2 and 6 are -Input1 and -Input2, 3 and 7 are GND, and 4 and 8 are Shield. Two green LEDs (Run1, Run2) show data exchange with the Bus Coupler. Each terminal in the photos has yellow +E1/+E2 and -E1/-E2, blue M and green S marker tags fitted.
What is the difference between a differential and a single-ended analog input?
A differential input measures the voltage between its own + and - wires, so it rejects noise and ground offsets that appear on both wires. A single-ended input measures each signal against a shared ground. Beckhoff gives the KL3002 a common-mode voltage limit of 35 V max; its two channels share a common internal ground potential.
What do I need to run it?
The KL3002 is a K-bus terminal (KL series), so it needs a Beckhoff Bus Coupler or Bus Terminal Controller at the head of the row and a bus end terminal at the end. Beckhoff states no address or configuration setting is needed on the terminal; each channel delivers 16-bit data in the process image.

Differential vs single-ended analog input: which is the KL3002?
Differential. Each channel measures between its + and - terminal, which rejects common noise; common-mode voltage is limited to 35 V.
What is the difference between Beckhoff KL and EL terminals?
KL terminals like the KL3002 are K-bus Bus Terminals that connect through a Bus Coupler. EL terminals are Beckhoff's EtherCAT terminal line. Check that your coupler matches the terminal family.
Does it need configuration?
Beckhoff states no address or configuration setting is needed. It takes power from the K-bus.
What wire sizes does it accept?
Spring terminals for 0.08 to 2.5 mm² solid or stranded wire (AWG 28 to 14), or 0.14 to 1.5 mm² with ferrules.
