MKS 872BRDPBE4GL1 Baratron pressure transducer, 250 psia range, 4-20 mA output, still plumbed to a Swagelok FV4 flow sensor. The MKS label gives input +13-36 VDC and serial 021454969. The Swagelok block is engraved 6L-FV4C-T4AS-DU-7576 and K07694. Used, sold as the assembly shown, with its cable.
What is in the assembly?
The 872B transducer sits on an elbow block. A short stainless line runs from it through the Swagelok flow sensor to a fitting at each end. A grey cable, tagged 124037-G8 REV P1, leaves the transducer and ends in an RJ45 plug. A WARNING tag on the cable reads: do not disconnect while circuit is live unless area is known to be non-hazardous.
What does the Swagelok 6L-FV4C do?
It is a vertical flow sensor for gas lines that works as a flow switch. A float with a magnet rides in the body and flips a reed switch when flow passes the set range. The C in FV4C is the float actuation range. The block is engraved CAUTION, contains magnet, keep affected materials at least 1 inch away, install ports vertically, with an arrow marked FLOW and INSTALL THIS END UP. The -DU-7576 suffix is not in the standard catalog and we could not decode it.
Is the MKS 872B rated for hazardous areas?
The label carries a Class 1, Div 2 marking with Groups A, B, C listed (the rest of that line is hidden in the photo), plus CE. There is a Zero adjustment marked on the body.

Absolute. The range is printed as 250 psia, the a meaning absolute.
What does the 4-20 mA output mean for wiring?
It is a current-loop output, read by a controller or PLC input. The supply on the label is +13 to 36 VDC.
How does a Baratron capacitance manometer work?
Pressure flexes a thin diaphragm, and the transducer measures that movement as a change in capacitance. MKS notes the reading does not depend on gas type.
Can I use the Swagelok flow switch on liquids?
Swagelok lists the FV4 series for gas systems.
Does the flow sensor need a set mounting angle?
Yes. Swagelok says install it vertically with the arrow pointing up, and the block is engraved the same way.
