MKS Instruments AS02066G-01, Rev. 02, silkscreened NEMEA AI Board. New, open box, in a pink anti-static bubble bag. The board carries the mks logo and www.mksinst.com, so it is MKS's own assembly.
What does the NEMEA AI board do?
MKS publishes nothing on it. The board itself gives strong hints that AI means analog input: test points labelled VREF, CONVERT, BUSY, SPI CLK, SPI DATA and SPI CS, a ±15V rail, and two Texas Instruments digital isolators between the field side and the logic side. Field signals come in on a 37-pin female D-sub.
What is the ISO7240M on this board for?
Galvanic isolation. The TI ISO7240M has four channels in one direction and the ISO7241M has three one way and one back, both rated 2.5 kVrms for one minute per UL 1577. On a board like this they carry the SPI lines across the isolation barrier, so ground noise from the field wiring stays off the controller.
Is the revision and serial readable?
Yes. ASSY PN AS02066G-01 and REV 02 are written on the board next to the NEMEA AI Board silkscreen. The serial label reads S/N 172181785. Inspection stickers show AOI 1083, TH 1275 and QC 1631.
