This is a lot of 2 B&R X20DI9371 (X20 DI 9371) Rev. G0 digital input modules, each with 12 inputs for 24 VDC sink wiring and 1-wire connections, mounted on an X20BM11 (X20 BM 11) Rev. H0 bus module. The X20DI9371 reads 24 VDC signals from sensors and switches into a B&R X20 control system. Each input has a green status LED, and the input filter is configurable in software.
What do the labels say?
The electronics module label reads X20 DI 9371, Rev. G0, Made in Austria, with a wiring diagram for DI 1 to DI 12, +24 VDC and GND, and the marks CE, cULus, CSA, ATEX and KC. The bus module label reads X20 BM 11, Rev. H0, Made in Austria.
Why does the X20DI9371 need an X20BM11 bus module?
In the B&R X20 system each I/O module is made of three parts: a bus module on the DIN rail, the electronics module, and a terminal block for the field wiring. B&R specifies the X20BM11 (24 VDC keyed, internal I/O power supply connected through) as the bus module for the X20DI9371, and the X20TB12 12-pin terminal block. Here each electronics module is already on its X20BM11 base, and the photos show a 12-pin terminal block fitted.
What is the difference between sink and source inputs?
On a sink input the sensor switches +24 VDC to the input, and the current flows into the module to ground. A source input works the other way round. The X20DI9371 is designed for sink input wiring, with 1-wire connections, so each input uses one terminal.
