This is a Telemecanique LR2 F5371 thermal overload relay for 125-200 A motor currents, supplied as an assembly with a Telemecanique LR2 D1305 relay on an LA7-D1064 adapter, in new, open-box condition. A thermal overload relay protects a motor against overcurrent: when the current stays above the set value, its contacts change state so the motor contactor drops out. The setting dial on this unit reads full load motor current.

What is the LR2 D1305 and the LA7-D1064?

The LR2 D1305 is a Telemecanique TeSys D thermal overload relay. Its label reads Ui 750 V, Ith 5 A, Class 10, "With contactor LC1 D / LP1 D or adapter LA7 D only", France, 3777450142. Schneider Electric lists it as discontinued since 31 December 2003, with the LRD05 (0.63-1 A, class 10A) as its replacement. The LA7-D1064 is the Telemecanique terminal block adapter for mounting an LR2 D relay separately from the contactor. In this assembly the LR2 D1305 sits on the LA7-D1064 and is wired to the LR2 F5371 housing.

How does a thermal overload relay work?

It carries the motor current and trips when the current stays above the set value for too long. Its N.C. contact (95-96) then opens the contactor coil circuit and its N.O. contact (97-98) can signal the trip.

What is the LA7-D1064?

A Telemecanique terminal block adapter that lets an LR2 D overload relay be mounted separately from its contactor.

What is the setting range of the LR2 D1305?

Schneider lists the LR2 D1305 as replaced by the LRD05, a 0.63-1 A class 10A relay. In this assembly it is wired to the LR2 F5371, whose dial reads 125-200 A.

Is the LR2 D1305 still made?

No. Schneider Electric stopped making it on 31 December 2003 and lists the LRD05 as its replacement. This LR2 F5371 is stamped 94 12.
