OPA4131UA or OPA4131NA: what is the difference?

Package. The OPA4131UA is the 16-pin wide-body SOIC (DW). The OPA4131NA is the 14-pin SOIC (D). They are not footprint compatible, so check your board before ordering. /1K is TI's reel suffix; these 100 came out of that stock in a TI bag.

Which supply does the OPA4131 run on?

±4.5 V to ±18 V split, or 9 V to 36 V single, with ±15 V as the nominal. Quiescent current is 1.75 mA max per amplifier on the UA grade.

Does the bag need baking before reflow?

The bag label says MSL 3, 260°C, 168 hours. Once opened, the parts should be reflowed within 168 hours at factory floor conditions, or baked first per the JEDEC caution label on the bag.

What is a FET input op amp good for?

Very high input impedance and tiny bias current, 50 pA max here. TI points it at data acquisition, lab instrumentation and transimpedance (photodiode) amplifiers.

Is the OPA4131 a quad op amp?

Yes. OPA131 is the single, OPA2131 the dual and OPA4131 the quad, with four amplifiers in one package.

Can it run from a single supply?

Yes, from 9 V to 36 V. Inputs need to stay 3 V above the negative rail and 3.5 V below the positive rail.
