Siemens 6SE6400-3CC08-3ED0, the MICROMASTER 4 AC commutation choke rated 380-600 V 3AC, 86.9 A and 0.22 mH. New, in its original Siemens box. Siemens' own datasheet calls it a footprint choke for frame size E (FSE). The part number is also written 6SE6400 3CC08 3ED0 or 6SE64003CC083ED0.
What is an AC commutation choke for?
It is a line reactor: an inductor wired in the three supply phases ahead of the drive. Siemens offers these chokes as MICROMASTER 4 options. A line choke adds impedance in front of the inverter's rectifier, which limits current peaks drawn from the mains and smooths the input current.
How is it connected?
Per the Siemens datasheet, the mains supply side has screw-type terminals (L1, L2, L3 on the grey terminal block), the load side goes to the inverter on 0.79 m pigtail leads of 35 mm², and the PE conductor goes on an M8 stud.
