The Omron E3X-NH11 is a fine-tuning fiber-optic photoelectric amplifier from Omron's E3X-NH series, with an NPN control output and a separate alarm output. This lot contains three used E3X-NH11 amplifiers (also written E3XNH11), removed from a Shinko SMART SELOP3 load port. Each amplifier runs on 12 to 24 VDC, uses a red LED light source (680 nm) and responds in 1 ms or less. Full ratings are in the Specifications tab.
What does the E3X-NH11 do?
The E3X-NH11 is the amplifier half of a fiber-optic sensor: it sends light out through a fiber unit, measures the light that comes back and switches its output. Omron built the E3X-NH for high-precision positioning. Sensitivity is set by teaching, and the threshold can then be fine-tuned automatically or manually in 13 levels. An 8-level incident-light indicator and a 13-level threshold indicator show the operating margin at a glance.
How is the E3X-NH11 wired?
The label on each amplifier gives the colour code: brown 12–24 VDC, blue 0 V, black control output and orange alarm output. Both outputs are NPN open collector, rated 50 mA maximum. If your machine needs PNP outputs, the matching Omron model is the E3X-NH41.
What condition are these amplifiers in?
Used. The photos show three amplifiers, each with fiber-optic cables still fitted and clip-on ferrite cores on the power leads. The TEACH / ADJ / RUN and L-ON / D-ON selector switches and the SET button are visible on the top panel.

Questions about this part
How many E3X-NH11 amplifiers are in this lot?
Three. Each carries its own E3X-NH11 label, and the photos show all three with fiber cables fitted.
Is the E3X-NH11 NPN or PNP?
NPN. Both the control output and the alarm output are NPN open collector, 50 mA max. The PNP version in the same series is the E3X-NH41.
What is the orange wire on the E3X-NH11?
The alarm output. The amplifier label lists brown 12–24 VDC, blue 0 V, black output and orange alarm.
What power supply does the E3X-NH11 need?
12 to 24 VDC ±10%, with ripple of 10% or less. Current consumption is 75 mA max. per amplifier.
Where were these amplifiers used?
They were removed from a Shinko SMART SELOP3 load port.
