How does a bearingless pump work?
In a Levitronix bearingless pump the impeller is levitated and driven by the magnetic field of the motor, so there are no bearings to wear out and no shaft seals. The controller regulates the rotor speed electronically, which sets the flow and pressure without pulsation. These pumps are used for high-purity liquids, for example in semiconductor wet processing and plating.
