How does an oil-less rotary vane pump work?
Vanes slide in slots of an off-center rotor and sweep air from the inlet to the outlet. In a dry-running pump like the T 4.16 DV the vanes are self-lubricating graphite composite, so no oil is needed. The Becker label on the pump gives a vane inspection interval of 3000 h and a minimum vane height of 21 mm for the T 4.16.
