Is EA1043840-E the same as PC-1043840?
They are two numbers for the same board. PC-1043840 is the bare PCB (Rev. A R&D 1), and EA1043840-E is the assembly built on it, revision E. Lumenis also used earlier assembly revisions such as -B and -D on the same PCB, so match the letter your system calls for.
What connectors and parts are on it?
Input and output go through two green pluggable terminal blocks (3-pin and 4-pin) and a 15-pin D-sub connector. On the power side there are two finned heat sinks, a large taped toroidal choke, filter capacitors including a Nippon Chemi-Con 250 V 470 µF, a NTC inrush limiter and a TF-1044020 transformer. The back is covered in surface-mount control circuitry, marked P.S-8, with the Lumenis logo.
Why is it sold as not working?
That is the seller's condition for this unit. A sticker on the back carries a handwritten "O.K!" next to the part number, but no test result comes with it, so we do not rely on it.
