Lumenis EA-20083570 Rev C, a small power supply board built around two XP Power JHM1512S15 DC-DC converters. The sticker reads P/N EA-20083570 REV. C, S/N SN0419IS022, and the bare board is silkscreened LUMENIS, PC-20083570 REV.B. Each converter is printed Input 9-18V 2.5A, Output 15V 1A. Used.

What do the JHM1512S15 modules do?

They turn a 12 V nominal rail (9 to 18 VDC) into a regulated, isolated 15 VDC at up to 1 A each. XP Power builds the JHM15 series for medical equipment: 4 kVAC reinforced isolation rated 2 x MOPP and 2 µA patient leakage current, approved to IEC 60601-1 3rd edition.

How is the board connected?

A green four-way pluggable terminal header sits in the middle of the lower edge, with a white plastic header at each end. Test points TP1 to TP15 are marked on the silkscreen. The board mounts through two keyhole slots and two captive screws.

Yes, it is a catalogue XP Power part. On this board the two modules are soldered in.

What input voltage does the board need?

The converters take 9 to 18 VDC, 12 VDC nominal. They switch on above 8.8 VDC and off below 8.3 VDC.

What is a medical grade dc dc converter?

An isolated converter approved to IEC 60601-1, with high isolation and very low leakage current to the patient side. The JHM15 meets 2 x MOPP with 4 kVAC isolation.

How does a dc to dc converter work?

It switches the input at high frequency through a small transformer and rectifies the result to a new, regulated voltage. The JHM15 switches at about 250 kHz.

What is the difference between EA-20083570 and PC-20083570?
