The Basler acA1600-60gc is a 2-megapixel colour area-scan camera from Basler's ace GigE series, built for machine vision and inspection. Basler specifies an e2v EV76C570 CMOS sensor in 1/1.8" format with 4.5 × 4.5 µm pixels, delivering 1600 × 1200 pixels at 60 frames per second over Gigabit Ethernet. How is the acA1600-60gc powered and connected?
Image data and control run over a single Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port on the back, following the GigE Vision standard. Power comes either through that cable by Power over Ethernet (IEEE 802.3af) or as 12–24 V DC on the round I/O connector next to it. That connector also carries one opto-coupled input and one opto-coupled output for trigger and signalling.
