Lumenis OP3558040, a clear quartz tube described on its stock label as QUARTZ TUBE 8X10 LONG. New and unused. The tubes come from a bulk box of Lumenis laser parts with the material number OP3558040 (also searched as OP 3558040), and the original listing gives the laser brick as their use. Sold by the piece.
What size is the OP3558040 quartz tube?
The label gives only 8X10 and LONG. No length is printed. The photos show a thin-walled, open-ended straight tube; the end view in the third photo shows the wall thickness.
How is each tube packed?
The photos show the tube bare, in a clear plastic tube with red end caps, and in a clear twist-lock plastic holder.
Quartz tube vs glass tube: why quartz?
Fused quartz takes far higher temperatures than ordinary glass and passes UV light that normal glass blocks. That is why laser and lamp assemblies use quartz rather than glass, and a glass tube is not a swap for this part.

Questions about this part
Is OP3558040 a Lumenis part number?
It is the material number on the stock label of a bulk box from Lumenis laser spares. The label itself does not print the Lumenis name.
What does 8X10 mean on the label?
The label gives 8X10 with no units. Measure the tube in your assembly to confirm the inner and outer diameter before ordering.
How long is the tube?
The label only says LONG. No length is printed, so check against the old tube.
What is the difference between a quartz tube and a glass tube?
Quartz handles much higher heat and passes UV light; ordinary glass does not. For a laser part, use quartz.
Can I order more than one?
Yes, the tubes are sold individually from the same stock.
