Analog Devices ADG5208SRUZ-EP-RL7, 20 pieces in a sealed Digi-Key static shielding bag. An 8:1 latch-up proof analog multiplexer in a 16-lead TSSOP. EP is ADI's Enhanced Product grade, rated -55 °C to +125 °C. Part number also searched as ADG5208 EP or ADG5208SRUZ.

How does the ADG5208 pick a channel?

Three address lines, A0, A1 and A2, connect one of the eight inputs S1 to S8 to the common pin D. EN turns the part on; with EN low every channel is off. Each switch conducts equally well both ways, so it also works as an 8 channel analog demultiplexer. The signal can swing from VSS all the way to VDD.

What supply does it need?

±9 V to ±22 V dual supply, or 9 V to 40 V single supply, with 48 V as the absolute maximum. There is no VL pin. The logic supply is generated on chip, and the address and enable inputs take 3 V logic (VINH 2.0 V, VINL 0.8 V).

Why is there an expiration date on the bag?

The date is on a yellow packing sticker, not on an ADI label. The sticker on the bag reads expiration date 10/07/23, next to lot 47214 dated 14-Oct-20. The Digi-Key label shows the part is MSL 1, the moisture level with no floor-life limit. The bag is shown sealed.

ADG5208 vs ADG5209: which is which?

The ADG5208 is a single 8-channel multiplexer. The ADG5209 switches four differential channels and shares the same datasheet and package.

What does latch-up proof mean on this part?

ADI separates the P and N channel transistors with a dielectric trench, so the device does not latch up even under severe overvoltage.

What does the -EP suffix stand for?

Enhanced Product. ADI builds it on a controlled baseline with one fab and one assembly and test site, and specifies it from -55 °C to +125 °C.

Does it need a separate logic supply pin?

No. The logic supply is made inside the chip, so there is no VL pin to connect.

Can it run on a single supply?

Yes, from 9 V to 40 V. ADI fully specifies it at +12 V and +36 V.

How many pieces are in the bag?
