The KNF PML 13555-FF 20 (No. 3.13809701) is a small 12 VDC, 3.6 W diaphragm pump made by KNF in Sursee, Switzerland, with a maximum pressure of +100 kPa (1 bar). It has two hose ports on the pump head, a flow-direction arrow, a mounting bracket, and a red and black lead ending in a connector housing. The label is dated 09/2019. Condition: new, open box.
What does PML mean on a KNF pump?
KNF uses the prefix PML (or PL) for customer-specific project pumps: pumps built to an equipment maker's specification, which may differ from KNF's standard catalog documentation. The type designation of this pump ends in FF 20, which is the name of KNF's diaphragm liquid pump series. Because this is a project pump, use the values on its own label (12 VDC, 3.6 W, 1 bar max) rather than the standard FF 20 catalog figures.
How does a KNF diaphragm pump work?
A small DC motor drives an eccentric that moves an elastic diaphragm up and down. Each stroke draws the medium in through the inlet valve and pushes it out through the outlet valve. The medium only touches the pump head, diaphragm and valves, never the motor, which keeps it free of contamination.
