The Vibrasens 127.01-VR20-1 is a loop-powered 4-20 mA piezoelectric vibration sensor that measures machine vibration as velocity, with 20 mm/s RMS at full scale (20 mA). This type of sensor is also called a 4-20 mA vibration transmitter or a vibration sensor with 4-20 mA output. It belongs to the Vibrasens Model 127 side-connector family and wires straight into a PLC, DCS or 4-20 mA monitor for continuous trending of overall machine vibration. The part number is also searched as 127.01-VR20-1-M6, VR20-1-M6 and 12701VR201.
What does the part number mean?
In the Vibrasens ordering code, VR20 is velocity RMS with a 20 mm/s full scale (3 Hz to 1000 Hz, ±10%), 1 is the MIL-C-5015 glass-seal connector, and M6 is the M6x1 captive hex-socket mounting bolt. The box end label reads "VIBRATION SENSOR 4-20mA VR20-1-M6".

The Vibrasens box label gives serial number E0937, calibration date 17/08/2016, and the measured output: 4.02 mA at 0 mm/s RMS and 19.7 mA at 20 mm/s RMS.
How is it wired and powered?
It runs on a two-wire 4-20 mA loop at +10 to +30 VDC, with overvoltage and reverse-polarity protection. The case is AISI 316L stainless steel, hermetically sealed, and isolated from machine ground. Recommended mounting torque for the M6 bolt is 2.4 N·m.

What does the Vibrasens 127.01-VR20-1 measure?
Overall machine vibration as velocity RMS. 0 mm/s gives 4 mA and 20 mm/s RMS gives 20 mA, over 3 Hz to 1000 Hz.
How does a 4-20 mA vibration sensor work?
The piezoelectric element senses vibration, and built-in electronics turn the overall level into a loop current: 4 mA means no vibration and 20 mA means full scale (here 20 mm/s RMS). The PLC reads the current, so no separate signal conditioner is needed.
What power supply does it need?
A two-wire 4-20 mA loop at +10 to +30 VDC. No separate constant-current source is needed.
Can I connect it directly to a PLC?
Yes. Vibrasens designed the Model 127 to interface directly with a PLC, DCS or 4-20 mA monitor input.
What connector does it have?
