The Siemens SIPART DR19 6DR1900-4 is a digital industrial process controller in the 24 V UC version, with an S/K output stage for continuous and step control. It runs on 20 to 28 V AC or 20 to 35 V DC and is the low-voltage sibling of the 6DR1900-5, which is the 115/230 V AC model. The part number is also written 6DR19004.
What can the SIPART DR19 control?
Siemens describes it as a controller for fast loops such as flow and slow loops such as temperature. It can work as a continuous controller with a 0/4 to 20 mA output, as a step controller with built-in relays for motor actuators, or as a two-position controller for heating and cooling. It can also be configured for ratio and follow-up control, and has a self-tuning function for the control parameters.
What inputs and outputs does the basic unit have?
The standard controller has one analog input for mV, RTD, thermocouple or resistance (mA and V with a measuring range plug), one 0/4 to 20 mA analog output, two relay outputs for the step signal, two 24 V digital inputs, two 24 V digital outputs and an L+ supply for two-wire transmitters. Four slots at the back take option modules. The front shows the process value and setpoint on two 4-digit displays, with a bar display for the control difference.

Only the power supply. The 6DR1900-4 runs on 24 V UC (AC or DC); the 6DR1900-5 runs on 115/230 V AC, switchable. Both have the S/K output stage.
Can the 6DR1900-4 be powered from 24 V DC?
Yes. Siemens specifies 20 to 35 V DC or 20 to 28 V AC for the 24 V UC version.
Does the SIPART DR19 have a relay output for a motorised valve?
Yes. The basic unit has two relay outputs (+Δy and −Δy) for step control of motor actuators, as well as a 0/4 to 20 mA analog output.
