The Schmersal SRB301HC/R-24V (PROTECT SRB 301HC/R 24V) is a safety relay module made by K.A. Schmersal GmbH & Co. KG in Wuppertal, Germany. Its side label gives a 24 V DC / AC operating voltage on terminals A1/A2, three normally open safety contacts (13-14, 23-24, 33-34) rated DC13 24 V / 6 A and AC15 230 V / 6 A, and an auxiliary contact 41-42. The module is marked "Safety Component" and carries CE (0035), CCC and cULus marks. Buyers also search it as SRB 301HC/R, SRB301HCR or SRB-301HC/R-24V.

What is the SRB 301HC/R used for?

Schmersal lists the SRB301HC/R-24V for monitoring emergency-stop buttons, guard systems, pull-wire emergency stop switches, safety mats and two-hand control panels. It provides stop category 0, and Schmersal rates it up to PL e, Category 4 and SIL 3; it is a 45 mm wide housing that snaps onto a standard DIN rail. Schmersal now marks it as a discontinued product (article number 101190594).

What indicators and terminals does it have?

Four LEDs on the yellow front are labelled ON, IN A, IN B and OUT. The circuit diagram on the side shows two internal relays, K1 and K2, both acting on each safety output, and an electronic supply fuse (F1), rated > 500 mA on the label. Connections are made through grey screw-terminal blocks at both ends of the housing.
