This is a twin-tube quartz infrared (QIR) halogen heater lamp marked QIR208V 3190WDFL, which reads as a 208 V, 3190 W lamp. It has two parallel clear quartz tubes with coiled tungsten filaments held by ring supports, white ceramic end caps on both ends, and two white lead wires with ring terminals. Lamps of this type are used as fast-response infrared heaters in industrial and process equipment.
What is marked on the lamp?
One ceramic end cap is printed QIR208V 3190WDFL; the other end cap is printed UB2. The lamp carries no manufacturer name. It is listed here under Komatsu.
How does a twin-tube halogen heater lamp work?
Current through the tungsten filament heats it until it radiates infrared energy through the quartz tube, which transmits it to the work. Halogen lamps reach heat within seconds, so they can be switched on and off often. In twin-tube lamps the two filament tubes are fused together, which makes the lamp mechanically robust.
How is it connected?
The photos show both white lead wires leaving the end cap marked QIR208V 3190WDFL, each ending in a ring terminal. The UB2 end cap has no leads. Check the voltage, wattage and lamp length of your heater before ordering.
What condition is it in?
Used. The quartz tubes are intact in the photos, with yellowish marks on the quartz near both end caps.
