The Mitutoyo 543-551-1 is an ABSOLUTE Digimatic indicator from Mitutoyo's ID-F series, model ID-F125. The nameplate gives a 25.4 mm measuring range, 0.001 mm resolution and a DC 9 V, 500 mA power input. This lot contains two indicators, both made in Japan. The code is also searched as 543-551 or 5435511.
What is the ID-F series?
Mitutoyo's ID-F indicators use an ABSOLUTE electrostatic capacitance linear encoder, so the reference point is kept when the power is switched off and on. They run from 9 V DC through an AC adapter rather than a battery. The back-lit display turns from green to red when a reading is outside the set tolerance limits, and the indicator can hold maximum, minimum and runout values. Each unit has an SPC data output for sending readings to a data processor or PC.
What is in this lot?
Two ID-F125 indicators, as shown in the photos. Each has a DC IN socket and a DATA OUT port on the rear of the head. No AC adapters, SPC cables or lifting levers are shown in the photos.
What condition are the indicators in?
Used. The photos show both indicators with intact displays, keypads, stems and contact points. The housings show handling marks, and on one unit the DATA OUT port cover is off, leaving the connector pins exposed.
