This is a Reach Technology LCD touch display assembly, PN 98-0055-01, built around a Reach SLCD5 display controller board, listed here as a Lumenis part. Reach Technology makes embedded touchscreen controllers and display modules. The assembly has the LCD panel, the SLCD5 controller board, an LED backlight driver board and a steel rear enclosure with a 9-pin D-sub connector.
What is the Reach SLCD5?
The SLCD5 is a Reach Technology controller board for color touch screens. Reach describes the SLCD5+ version as having a 266 MHz 32-bit ARM9 processor, 64 MB RAM and 32 MB flash, an SD card slot and 5 to 12 V operation, for panels up to 12.1 inches. The board in this unit is printed SLCD5 © 2013, Made in US.
What do the labels say?
The label inside reads "Reach Technology, Inc. Prototype PN: 98-0055-01". The controller board carries serial sticker SN 15290161 and a sticker 1512FG1093. The LED driver board is printed LED DRIVER © 2011, Made in USA.
