The Bussmann LPJ-30SP is a 30 A Low-Peak Class J fuse: dual-element, time-delay and current-limiting, rated 600 V AC / 300 V DC. You get three fuses in this lot. It is the largest rating in the 0–30 A Class J body size, so it fits the same holders as the lower-amp LPJ fuses. The labels carry Cooper Industries, Bussmann Division, St. Louis, MO, assembled in Mexico, and revision marking W15. Buyers also search for it as LPJ30SP; the range continues under the Eaton Bussmann series name.
Where is a 30 A Class J time-delay fuse used?
Low-Peak Class J fuses protect motor branch circuits, feeders and control equipment. The time-delay element holds for at least 10 seconds at 500% of rated current, so motor inrush does not open the fuse, while the current-limiting element clears short circuits quickly.
Which fuse block takes the LPJ-30SP?
Bussmann lists the J60030 open fuse blocks (1, 2 or 3 poles), the CH30J modular holders and the JT60030 Safety J holder for 0–30 A Class J fuses. The label states that the fuse may be substituted for any listed Class J fuse.
What condition are these fuses in?

Does the LPJ-30SP fit a 60 A Class J holder?
Not directly. The 30 A fuse uses the smaller 0–30 A Class J body (0.81 in × 2.25 in). Bussmann offers fuse reducers, such as the J-63, to fit 30 A fuses into 60 A clips.
Is the LPJ-30SP a time-delay fuse?
Yes. It is dual-element with a minimum 10-second delay at 500% of rated current.
Does it have a blown-fuse indicator?
No. LPJ-30SP is the non-indicating version; the indicating version is LPJ-30SPI.
What interrupting rating does it have?
