The Horiba HE-480R-DC24V is a 48 x 96 mm panel-mount resistivity meter ("Resist Meter") from HORIBA Advanced Techno that monitors the resistivity of ultrapure and DI water, here in the 24 V DC version. It works with a 2-electrode resistivity sensor with cell constant 0.01/cm and a Pt1000 temperature element, shows resistivity and temperature on two LED displays, and sends the value to a PLC or recorder over an isolated 4-20 mA output. Typical uses listed by HORIBA are ultrapure water monitoring in semiconductor, electronics, food and pharmaceutical plants. The part number is also searched as HE-480R-DC and HE480R.

What is the difference between resistivity and conductivity?
They are the same measurement inverted: resistivity (MΩ·cm) is 1 divided by conductivity (µS/cm). Resistivity is the usual unit for high-purity water because the numbers are easier to read; theoretically pure water at 25 °C is about 18.2 MΩ·cm. The HE-480R measures 0 to 100.0 MΩ·cm and lets you set the pure-water reference to 18.23 (standard), 18.18 or 18.24 MΩ·cm.
How is it wired?
The rear terminal block, shown in the photos, has relay R1 and relay R2 (each C, NO, NC), the mA + and - transmission output, the DC + and - supply, a ground terminal, and the sensor terminals 1, 2, T, T and E. HORIBA rates the relay contacts at 240 V AC 3 A or 30 V DC 3 A (resistive load).
