This is a lot of 13 EAO 51-368.AD keylock switches: complete 3-position key-operated selector switches from the EAO Series 51 range, with a rectangular black 18 x 24 mm bezel for a 16 mm panel cut-out. A key switch (key selector switch) lets only someone with the key change the machine mode, for example Off / Manual / Auto or a service setting. Each switch comes in its own EAO "Swiss made" bag labelled "1 Stk/Pcs, 51-368.AD".
What do the markings say?
The switch body reads "eao 51-368.0/AD, SWISS MADE". The blue switching blocks are marked 6A 250VAC, 5(1.5)A 250V~ and "6A 250Vac SD, each switch block same polarity", with CE and terminals numbered 1 to 4. A side block reads "eao SWISS MADE 31.970.022". The keys are stamped "eao" and "311".
What is the EAO Series 51?
Series 51 is EAO's 16 mm range of indicators, pushbuttons, selector switches and keylock switches. EAO lists it as IP65, with a 5 A, 250 VAC switch rating, raised mounting into a 16 mm cut-out, solder terminals and gold-over-silver snap-action contacts, up to 4NO/4NC per switch. Its 3-position keylock switches use the rectangular 18 x 24 mm bezel shown here.
How does a key switch work?
Turning the key rotates the actuator, which operates the snap-action contacts in the switching blocks behind the panel. Depending on the version, positions are maintained or spring return, and the key can be removed only in set positions. The exact position and key-removal scheme of the .AD version is not on the label, so check it on the switch before wiring.
