The Corcom 10VN1 (label code F7416) is a single-phase EMI power line filter rated 10 A at 120/250 VAC, 50-60 Hz, in a flange-mount metal case with FASTON terminals. It sits on the AC input of a piece of equipment and reduces conducted electrical noise in both directions: from the mains into the equipment and from the equipment back onto the line. TE Connectivity lists it in the Corcom N series as 10VN1=F7416. This unit is listed under the Lumenis brand because it came from Lumenis stock; the markings on it are Corcom's, not Lumenis'.
How does an EMI filter work?
The filter is a network of chokes (inductors) and capacitors. The chokes block high-frequency noise current on the line and neutral, the X capacitor across the line shunts differential-mode noise, and the Y capacitors to the ground terminal shunt common-mode noise. A bleeder resistor discharges the capacitors after power is removed. The label on this unit prints the full schematic and component values.

How does an EMI filter work?
Chokes block high-frequency noise current and capacitors shunt it: the X capacitor across line and neutral, the Y capacitors to ground. The mains frequency passes through, the noise does not.
Is an EMI filter the same as an RFI filter?
In practice, yes. TE lists the 10VN1 as an RFI power line filter, and the label calls it an EMI filter. Both terms mean a filter for conducted radio-frequency noise on the power line.
What is the leakage current?
TE gives a maximum of 1.2 mA at 120 VAC, 60 Hz and 2 mA at 250 VAC, 50 Hz.
Why is it listed as Lumenis?
