The Kyoto Denkiki KDS-30350WF is a rack-mount DC power supply with two independent sections, labeled EC1 COIL P/S2 and EC2 COIL P/S2, rated on its label at 350 V 30 A output from a 3-phase 200/220 V input. Kyoto Denkiki Co., Ltd. is a Kyoto power-electronics maker (founded 1962) whose power supplies are built into semiconductor and LCD manufacturing equipment, often as custom designs.
What does the nameplate say?
MODEL: KDS-30350WF, S/N 06303019, DATE 0603, INPUT 3φ 200/220V 50/60Hz 40A, OUTPUT 350V 30A, made in Japan. The nameplate sits on the EC2 section; a sticker reading "EC2 COIL P/S2" covers part of the maker's name.
What is on the front and rear panels?
The front has a HIGH VOLTAGE P/S label in the center and, for each section, a STATUS panel with OUTPUT, STAND BY, OVER LOAD, OVP, AIR FLOW, HEAT SINK and FUSE LEDs and a MAIN RESET button. Each section on the rear has its own 3-pole 50 A POWER breaker, round INPUT and OUTPUT connectors, a 9-pin ANALOG port, a 25-pin INTERFACE port and a FAN connector. Two cooling fans with wire guards and an FG ground stud are also on the rear.
What is a coil power supply?
A coil power supply delivers DC current to an electromagnet or solenoid coil. The panel labels on this unit (EC1 / EC2 COIL P/S2) indicate that each section feeds a coil in the host equipment.
