This lot contains three Tektronix passive 10X oscilloscope probes: two P6105 and one P6108. The connector-end labels read: P6105, 10X, 100 MHz, 13 pF, 10 MΩ, 2 meter on both P6105 probes, and P6108, 10X, 95 MHz, 15.5 pF, 10 MΩ, 3 meter on the P6108. All three are made for oscilloscopes with a 1 MΩ input.
What is the difference between the P6105 and the P6108?
Both are 10X miniature modular passive probes from the same Tektronix family, rated 100 MHz (95 MHz with a 3 m cable). The P6105 has a readout encoding pin on its BNC connector for scopes that display probe attenuation; the P6108 is the plain BNC version. The 2 m P6105 was the standard probe supplied in pairs with the Tektronix 465 and 465B.
Why is the P6108 rated 95 MHz?
The bandwidth and input capacitance depend on cable length. The 2 m probes are marked 100 MHz and 13 pF, while the 3 m P6108 is marked 95 MHz and 15.5 pF.

What bandwidth are these Tektronix probes?
The two 2 m P6105 probes are marked 100 MHz. The 3 m P6108 is marked 95 MHz, because the longer cable reduces bandwidth.
Will the P6105 work on my oscilloscope?
The P6105 and P6108 are 10X passive probes for scopes with a 1 MΩ input and a BNC connector, with a compensation range of 15 pF to 47 pF.
What does the readout pin on the P6105 do?
It lets Tektronix scopes with probe readout detect the 10X attenuation and scale the display. The P6108 has a plain BNC connector without it.
How long are the probe cables?
The two P6105 probes are 2 m, and the P6108 is 3 m, as marked on their labels.
