The DSP is a TMS320C30GEL40, TI's 32-bit floating-point processor in a 181-pin ceramic grid array. Next to it sits a bank of NEC UPD434004ALE-15 SRAM, a MAX232 line driver, a GAL16V8D and several 74-series bus buffers. Two Pancon 100-096-053 connectors take it into the backplane. Settings are on two red 8-way DIP switches (D0 to D15), a rotary address switch, a smaller DIP switch and a reset switch. Four 7-segment displays sit on the front edge.
