Two Vexta RKD514L-C 5-phase drivers by Oriental Motor, used, pulled from a machine with their wiring still on. Label on each: 5-PHASE DRIVER, MODEL RKD514L-C, 200-230V~ 3.5A, 1φ 50/60Hz, CE, cULus, made in Japan. One serial reads SX41V87203.
Which motors does the RKD514L-C drive?
Oriental Motor's RK series, 200-230 VAC version, 60 mm frame: RK564, RK566 and RK569 (the C models), plus their geared versions. Those motors are rated 1.4 A/phase with a 0.72° basic step. The A version (RKD514L-A) is the same driver for 100-115 VAC.
What comes with the pair?
The drivers are still wired as they came out of the machine. Motor and power leads are on the TB1 terminal blocks, and cables run from the CN1 I/O connectors. The harness ends in an Amphenol 25-pin D-sub marked J6, a white 6-pin Molex-style plug and several crimped flying leads. One black cable is cut. Each driver carries an orange 230 VOL sticker and an X or Y axis tag.
What can be set on the front panel?
DIP switches for 2P/1P pulse input, A.C.O. (automatic current off) and OFF/S.D. (Smooth Drive). Rotary switches DATA1 and DATA2 hold two step resolutions, chosen by the step angle select input. RUN and STOP set running and standstill current. LEDs show POWER, TIM. and O.H.

No. The C model is for single-phase 200-230 VAC. The RKD514L-A is the 100-115 VAC version.
What is a 5 phase stepper motor?
A stepper with five windings and a 0.72° basic step, so 500 full steps per turn. Oriental 5-phase stepper motors of the RK series pair with this driver.
What does Smooth Drive do?
The driver microsteps internally at low speed while you keep sending full-step pulses, so the motor runs with less vibration and noise.
Is there a manual for the RKD514L-C?
