This is a lot of 6 Omron E3X-DA11-N digital fiber amplifiers, NPN output models, supplied with Omron E32-T22S through-beam fiber units. The E3X-DA11-N is the standard pre-wired NPN model of the Omron E3X-DA-N fiber optic sensor amplifier series: it drives a red LED (660 nm) through the fiber, reads the received light as a digital value, and switches its output when the value crosses the threshold you set.
What does the amplifier label say?
The amplifier is marked OMRON E3X-DA11-N, with the wire colors Brown 12 to 24 VDC, Blue 0 V and Black OUTPUT, plus CE and Made in Japan. The fiber unit tag reads OMRON E32-T22S, Made in Japan.
How does a fiber optic sensor work?
The amplifier holds the LED and the light receiver; the plastic fibers only carry the light to and from the sensing point. With a through-beam fiber unit like the E32-T22S, one fiber head emits and the opposite head receives, and the output switches when an object breaks the beam. Because the heads contain no electronics, they fit into tight spaces such as the aluminum blocks seen in the photos.
What are the E3X-DA11-N settings?
Per the Omron E3X-DA-N datasheet, response time is 0.25 ms in super-high-speed mode, 1 ms in standard mode and 4 ms in super-long-distance mode. The threshold is set by teaching or manually, Light ON or Dark ON is selectable, and an OFF-delay timer of 0 to 200 ms is built in. Omron lists the E3X-DA11-N as discontinued (March 2017).
What is in the photos?
Six black E3X-DA11-N amplifiers with their cables, some cable ends fitted with a connector, and E32-T22S fiber heads mounted in aluminum blocks, plus close-ups of the amplifier side marking and the fiber tag. Condition: used.

Questions about this part
What is the Omron E3X-DA11-N?
A digital fiber optic sensor amplifier with NPN output from the Omron E3X-DA-N series. It powers the fiber unit's light, shows the received level as a number, and switches its output at a set threshold.
How does a fiber optic sensor amplifier work?
The amplifier sends red LED light down one fiber and measures the light that comes back through the other. When an object changes the received light past the threshold, the output switches.
What is the E32-T22S?
An Omron through-beam fiber unit with a 3 mm cylindrical head and plastic fiber. One head emits and the opposite head receives.
Is the E3X-DA11-N NPN or PNP?
NPN. The PNP version of the same amplifier is the E3X-DA41-N.
What is the response time?
0.25 ms in super-high-speed mode, 1 ms in standard mode and 4 ms in super-long-distance mode, per the Omron datasheet.
How is it wired?
Brown to 12-24 VDC, blue to 0 V, black is the output, as printed on the amplifier.
Is the E3X-DA11-N still made?
No. Omron's datasheet states that manufacture of the E3X-DA11-N was discontinued in March 2017.
What condition are they in?
Used.
