The Lambda Alpha 1000W H10766 is a modular, multiple-output AC-DC power supply from the Alpha 1000 series, built to configuration code CA1000 24K_IN 24K_IN 24D 6M 15/15E with six DC outputs. The Alpha 1000 is now sold as the TDK-Lambda Alpha 1000-1500 (CA) series. Each output comes from a plug-in module in one of seven slots, so one 1000 W chassis can supply several independent, regulated voltages.
What outputs does the H10766 have?
The output details on the label list five modules: two K modules at 24 V 15 A with the IN (inhibit) option, a D module at 24 V 8 A, an M module at 6 V 8 A, and a dual E module at 15 V 8 A and 15 V 8 A. Together they fill the seven slots of the CA1000 case (K uses two slots, D, M and E one each). Total output power must stay within the 1000 W rating of the converter.
How does a modular power supply like the Alpha 1000 work?
A power-factor-corrected front end feeds a common converter, and each output module regulates its own voltage. In the Alpha 1000 code, the letter is the module type and the number before it is the set voltage: "24K" is 24 V on an 18-29 V, 15 A module, "6M" is 6 V on a 5-16 V, 8 A module, and "15/15E" is a dual 5-16 V, 8 A module set to 15 V on both outputs. "_IN" adds module inhibit and a DC good signal.
