This is a Karl Suss 614PC152 Rev. 02 plug-in circuit board, assembly number 260PC152, with a 96-pin DIN 41612 backplane connector, a 25-pin D-sub connector and four Allegro UDN2549B quad power driver ICs. Karl Suss is the former name of SUSS MicroTec, the German maker of semiconductor equipment such as mask aligners.
What is printed on the board?
The silkscreen reads "KARL SUSS 614PC152 REV.02" and "260PC152-", with the dash number and assembly revision covered by small stickers. The board has a position sticker "21" and a serial sticker "SN:15484" on the solder side.
What components and connectors does it have?
Four Allegro UDN2549B drivers along the left side, SN74LS32N logic gates, Harris CD4077BE CMOS gates, yellow resistor networks, two axial electrolytic capacitors and a large yellow disc component. The backplane side has a Pancon 100-096-053 right-angle 96-pin, 3-row DIN 41612 plug. The front edge has a 25-pin female D-sub (J1) and a pin header whose silkscreen labels read CH 6 to CH 16 and +24V, with LED positions D1 to D18.
What does the UDN2549B do?
Per the Allegro datasheet, the UDN2549B is a protected quad power driver: each of its four outputs sinks up to 600 mA, with over-current and thermal protection, integral flyback diodes and TTL / 5 V CMOS inputs. With the channel-labeled header and +24V marking, this points to an output driver card, but Karl Suss does not publish a description of this board.
