This is a lot of three Siemens 6ES7392-1AM00-0AA0 SIMATIC S7-300 front connectors, 40-pole, with screw contacts. A front connector plugs onto the front of an S7-300 signal module and holds the field wiring, so a module can be swapped without rewiring. Each connector is in its own Siemens box; the part number is also written 6ES7 392-1AM00-0AA0.
Which modules use a 40-pin front connector?
Depending on the module, S7-300 signal modules take a 20-pin or a 40-pin front connector. Siemens' front connector selection guide lists the 40-pin type for modules such as the SM 321 32 DI 24 V DC (6ES7 321-1BL00-0AA0) and the SM 321 32 DI 120 V AC (6ES7 321-1EL00-0AA0). Check the module's order number in that guide before buying.
What is the difference between 6ES7392-1AM00-0AA0, 1AJ00 and 1BM01?
In the Siemens guide, 6ES7392-1AM00-0AA0 is the 40-pin connector with screw contacts, 6ES7392-1AJ00-0AA0 is the 20-pin connector with screw contacts, and 6ES7392-1BM01-0AA0 is the 40-pin connector with spring contacts. 6ES7392-1AM00-1AB0 is the same 40-pin screw connector in a pack of 100.
What wire sizes and torque does it take?
Per the Siemens datasheet: one conductor per terminal, or two conductors up to 0.75 mm² total in a shared end sleeve; 0.25 to 0.75 mm² (AWG 24 to 19), solid or flexible; strip length 6 mm; tightening torque 0.4 to 0.7 N·m with a 3 to 3.5 mm screwdriver. The box label gives the same torque as 3-6 lb·in.
What do the labels say?
Siemens box labels: SIMATIC CONNECTOR / STECKER, TORQ 3-6LB*IN=0.4-0.7NM, Made in Germany; 1P 6ES7 392-1AM00-0AA0, QTY:1, E-STAND:01, ORIGINAL PACKING. The connector body is molded 6ES7 392-1AM00-0AA0, E-Stand: 01. Condition: new, in the original boxes, which show storage wear (one label is torn).
